Proper Selection of Colleges!!!!!!

When you begin you begin researching colleges, you may be among the many students who have as many as twenty schools on your college list! This is a critical part of the research phase, and college tours, careful research, and knowing your criteria will help you narrow down your choices over the coming months. However, it’s important to have a final goal in mind: the rule of 3×3.  If you applied to all these schools, not only would you spend potentially over Rs 10,000/-  in application fees, there’s no way all your applications would be top-quality. It’s simply too much work, and not an effective strategy for maximizing admissions outcomes.
Instead, we recommend following the “Golden Rule of 3’s”:
3 X 3= 9 Schools in Total
3 “Likely Colleges”
These are schools where you have over a 66% estimated chance of admissions. Generally, you have exceeded in some way the admissions criteria of that college, or perhaps it is an open enrollment a less selective college (meaning they accept a broader range of academic profiles)
3 “Target Colleges”
These are schools where you have between a 66-33% chance of admissions. Generally, you are well-matched in terms of basic admission criteria, and the goal is to present a solid application
3 “Reach Colleges”
These are schools where you have between a 33-10% chance of admissions. Generally, you may be somewhere below the admissions criteria for the school, or it might be a highly selective institution.
